Do you have an eye for digital content creation, an understanding of social media marketing, and a flair for brand representation? Are you skilled in photography and graphic design with a preference for working independently?
Strategic Arts Management (SAM) is looking for such an individual to fill our term position of Content Creator. Perhaps you are also proficient in videography, have access to camera and recording equipment, and are passionate about the arts? These assets could set your application apart from the crowd. Are you interested in this job posting and a member of an underrepresented community? Then you really should apply, and please self-identify so we may prioritize your application for first consideration.
Founded in 2007, SAM is a not-for-profit arts management service organization. We offer mentorship, management, administration, and other resources to artists and arts organizations in Nova Scotia at affordable, subsidized rates. Currently expanding our online presence, SAM is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team for an 8-week contract as Communications Content Creator. Is this you?
About the Job
The Communications Content Creator will be connected with SAM clients, consultants, board, and staff to develop a digital bank of visual and audio stories about their work and their link to SAM (while adhering with social distancing guidelines). Content creation may involve visualizing and creating graphics, layouts, and templates, the possible creation of copy text, and capturing photos and videos which align with the SAM Brand for use in SAM online and print communications.
The role of Communications Content Creator has an anticipated engagement timeline of July 6 through August 28, 2020, expected workload of 35 hours per week, and a rate of pay at $13/hr. The physical SAM office remains closed due to COVID-19, so you will need access to a stable internet connection to participate in regular online staff meetings and project check-ins. The ideal candidate will also be a creative thinker with strong time-management skills.
