Sally Raab received a BFA in drawing from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2010, and currently resides in Halifax, NS. After graduating she became a founding board member of the now extinct Pith Gallery and Studios and has since been enthusiastically involved in Artist Run Culture, working with a number of Artist-Run Centres throughout Canada as an advisor, arts administrator and board member. Her work has specialized in long-term planning, crisis aversion and management and governance development.
In 2016 she formalized her side-work as an arts-sensitive bookkeeper, founding RAAB/BOOKS, a sole proprietorship offering bookkeeping and financial services to nonprofits, arts groups, individual artists and small businesses.
An active artist/curator, she has curated a small handful of exhibitions and writes critical essays and art-related narratives/personal accounts. She maintains a multidisciplinary art practice, often working in collaboration with her partner as the collective S2WR and has been both shown and published throughout Canada and the United States.
